Cooking with friends – Catalonian style

Brilliant experience – like cooking with friends who are gourmet cooks in their olde worlde kitchen without a dishwasher and real knobs on the hob. I have to say it was the best birthday present I ever have had – thank you Liz 👌

60th birthday – on the beach :-)

I think Reiner enjoyed his special birthday in the glorious sunshine at this wonderful Hotel in Catalonia where we celebrated last year. He couldn’t believe you could get a newspaper of the day you were born (I suppose if you’re not too old :-)) and is really excited about the Catalonian cookery course tomorrow … We’ve decided to make it an annual event after cold and rainy Novembers in Germany :-(.

Poly Dollies 40 years on …

Eight ladies who met at Birmingham Poly 40 years ago, had the time of their lives in Barcelona in two swish flats overlooking the Sagrada Familia. In between lots of reminiscing, giggling, eating, shopping, discussing (Brexit in particular) we visited Park GüellHospital Santa Creu and of course the beach … And felt very blessed to have had such special friendships for so many years.

A Catalonian paradise

After the Besig conference in Sitges Liz presented me a little paradise in the northern area of Barcelona. Platja d’Aro – in the middle of the Costa Brava in Catalonia, Spain – with his gorgeous beaches and bays was finally one of my best birthday presents.

Besig, Yorkshire and Sitges

One of the highlights of the  besig conference for business English trainers in  Sitges Spain was the end of conference celebrations with the Yorkshire lasses including Janet, whose family live in Honley where I was born, and Emma who was, like me, born in Holmfirth hospital!!! What a small world 😊

A story on the way to Barcelona

We were of course hit by the LH strike and Reiner successfully managed to organize flights from Dusseldorf to Barcelona for the annual Besig Conference where I am talking about storytelling in business :-). And we definitely prefer the weather in Barcelona!
